This covers what Doo Diligence holds about you, why, and who else sees it. Questions to service@getdoodiligence.com.
What we collect
When you price a job: your ZIP, your email, how many dogs you have and how often you want us.
When you sign up: your name, email, service address, and — if you give it — your mobile number. Plus what we need to do the work: the gate code, how to reach the back yard, and anything you tell us about the yard or the dogs.
As we serve you: the dates of your visits and how each one went, including notes and photos our tech takes at the property.
To bill you: the customer reference Stripe gives us. We never see or store your card number.
Why we hold it
To schedule your service, to do the work, to bill you, and to tell you about your own visits. Nothing else.
Who else sees it
Five kinds of supplier, each handling your data to do one job and nothing more:
- Stripe — takes payments and holds your card.
- Postmark — delivers our email.
- Fly.io — hosts the app and its database.
- Cloudflare — stores the photos from your visits, serves our pages, and counts page views without cookies.
- Our text-message provider and the phone carriers — only if you agreed to texts, and only to deliver the message.
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not pass it to advertisers.
Your mobile number
Optional, and separate from the rest. We ask for the number, then ask you to tick a box before we text you. Ticking it is not a condition of buying — the plan works without it.
We use the number to tell you about your own visits: a reminder, a change of date, a completion. No marketing, ever. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, HELP for help. We record the date and time you agreed, so we can show that you did.
Cookies and counting
One cookie, signed, that keeps you signed in to your account. It is the only cookie we set.
We count page views on our public pages, so we know whether anyone finds us. That count is made without cookies and names nobody: no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no profile of you anywhere.
Signing in
There is no password. We email you a link that works once and expires after fifteen minutes.
How long we keep it
While you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need the records for tax and accounting. Ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep and we will.
Children
We sell to adults and do not knowingly collect anything from children.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold, a correction to it, or its deletion. You can also ask us to stop the reminder emails, or reply STOP to end the texts. Email service@getdoodiligence.com and we will sort it.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top tells you when.
